Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her performance as Detective Diane Russell. Kim Delaney is famous for playing Detective Diane Russell on the ABC series NYPD Blue. Also, she was a part of the drama show All My Children Philly, CSI: Miami, and Army Wives. She was born as the only child to a top executive from the United Auto Workers and a household worker, Delaney grew up with her four brothers. When she was a kid she longed to be a court reporter. But after she graduated from high school, and moving to New York in the 1980s, she began modeling. Her first role as an actor was as a teenager as a child in All My Children, a 1981 soap opera. Her career as an actor has been awash with a variety of television shows and dramas. In contrast to her impressive professional career, Delaney's personal one is not as successful and happy. She has been in the past accomplished actress battled addiction to alcohol, and was married twice only to fail. She was divorced in 2005 and was denied custody of the sole child she had.
