Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, born April 26, 1991 often referred to professionally by the name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the debut female signing to J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. Her debut EP Pho, released on October 21 2016, was released on Dreamville Records. She began to gain fame. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album was released 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox has uploaded her music on the internet since 2012 following the debut mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. She continued to upload her music online in 2014 and released her own single Bound. In the year 2015, she performed on Omen's Elephant Eyes Album on Sweat released on the 21st of July. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville team at the time, wanted to have her work on Rihanna reference. The announcement that she would be signed by Dreamville Records was made on the 8th of December. Backseat was her contribution to the Revenge of the Dreamers II album. The singer released Pho, her debut album on Oct 21, 2016. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as opening The 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017, in which she joined by EarthGang. The singer also performed in the music videos Nothing but the Best by EarthGang as well as Icarus with Bas the label's co-founders. Ari Lennox, on the 16th July, 2018, released her first single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. The music video for it came out on the 5th. The 9th of November saw her release two more singles called 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. On November 13 the singer released two new singles titled One and Pdigree. One and Pdigree. She was featured with Cole in her Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby, on November 16th, and released the song in a solo version on her debut album. In February of 2019, a music video was released to promote the song. It has already received more than three million hits on YouTube within the first week. As a supporting act She toured together with 6LACK in December 2018 on their From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
